We are searching for a hands-on Head of Marketing who is ready to help disrupt and revolutionize the nonprofit industry. You will be our first marketing hire to drive the company's product and vision to market. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution as you build our marketing function from scratch, translating the vision and strategy into an actionable plan across branding, positioning, messaging, communications, PR, product marketing, and content. 

Your core focus early on will be to drive the creative, brand, and communications strategies as we launch our product as a disruptive leader in a crowded ecosystem of niche nonprofit software solutions. You must be an experienced marketer who has worked in a high growth early stage company. 

What You Will Do

  • Develop company brand and product positioning and messaging that resonates with nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and nonprofit affiliates.

  • Develop and execute on targeted go to market plans that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption across our target customers. 

  • Formulate and execute thought leadership strategies including content, contributed articles, etc. 

  • Develop the company’s website from design to messaging.

  • Work with the product team and engineering to produce product marketing material. Create product marketing content that articulates the differentiating benefits and use cases of our product for the sales organization.

  • Manage and execute on events such as trade shows, client conferences, etc. 

  • Establish the implementation of the marketing function for the company.

  • Manage marketing investments and needed to achieve customer and revenue goals.

What You Possess

  • Experience positioning, messaging, and brand definition at early stage technology companies.

  • Passion for developing content and exceptional writing skills.

  • Experience in an early stage startup environment with proven ability to work with a sense of urgency and be agile.

  • Proven track record of success.

  • Experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus.

  • Marketing experience to both B2B and B2C is a plus.

  • Experience with product differentiation marketing in a competitive environment.

  • Ability to be hands-on and think high-level strategy, plan and execute.
